Number, Numbers and more numbers

I just cannot believe how good I felt on Saturday
during my 18 miles. I felt like I was flying… I think the training is paying
off. I hope I feel this way on December 8th.
I have always been a stats
person. I like to know my performance in numbers (the first thing I look at
after my runs is the time by miles, the average speed and any other statistical
information I can get from my watch. I remember when I played basketball I
always look forward to see the number of points, assistance, free throws, three
point shots… I made in the game. Numbers are just something that I understand very
well. Now I want to use this to learn more about domestic violence…
Do you
know?
http://www.ncadv.org/files/DomesticViolenceFactSheet%28National%29.pdf
- One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
- An estimated 1.3 million women are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year.
- 85% of domestic violence victims are women.
- Historically, females have been most often victimized by someone they knew.
- Females who are 20 - 24 years of age are at the greatest risk of nonfatal intimate partner violence.
- Most cases of domestic violence are never reported to the police.

Help me to build new dreams and give hope to
those who have lost it.
